I really wanna lose 3 pounds.

I ran a 13 minute mile this morning.

Now that 13 minutes includes me stopping once to tie my shoelaces and again another time to ensure that I wouldn’t keel over and die.

For those of you who run 5 miles every morning before 8am, I ask that you keep those judgmental thoughts to yourselves.

For those of you who, like me, adamantly swore up and down that you would not work out (& haven’t done so in 3 years)… I ran a 13 minute mile!!

Last year, in an attempt to get healthier, I religiously tracked my ‘points’ with Weight Watchers and lost 18 pounds in the span of 4 months. That means that ya girl was looking like a dime, plus 99, on her wedding day!

Since then, my weight has fluctuated (which is totes normal), but only ever by 1-2 pounds. Thanksgiving and Christmas time was, of course, a wash, but I got back on track for the New Year.

But now, ever so gradually, that number on the scale seems to be increasing.

Although I no longer track points on WW, I do track what I eat every day and feel that I eat relatively well. But in order to get back to my ‘you look skinny and I hate you’ weight, I have decided to do a little bit more than just eat a kalteen bar.

So watch out, world. Soon, that 13 minutes will start to decrease and the number of miles I run may very well increase. And who knows, you may even see me at a 5K run in the future!
